Dispelling the AC St. Louis rumors

By now, I’m sure most of you have heard the rumors of AC St. Louis being sold to someone with “deep pockets” and “MLS ambitions”. These rumors have started a swirl of discussion around the soccer community. I have talked in depth with multiple sources, and I’m here to tell you that they are false.

According to trusted sources close to the situation, the state of AC St. Louis a month ago is exactly the same as it is now. Jeff Cooper is not leaving the team and remains focused on bringing in more investors for next season. I know that many have become excited at the prospect of the team returning for next season. While this remains a possibility, it is not a certainty. At Floodplain Footy, we believe that being first is not as important as being RIGHT. We would rather hold off on reporting a story in order to bring you the truth. We want to thank our readers for their support and we will continue to monitor the situation in the event that something does happen.
