FC Bordo, of the NPSL, announced their 2014 inaugural season schedule earlier this week. The team will compete in the 6 team Central Conference of the Midwest Region.
The Central Conference consists of the following teams: Eau Claire Aris FC (Eau Claire, WI), FC Bordo (St.Louis, MO), Madison 56ers (Madison, WI), Minnesota Twin Stars (Minneapolis, MN), Minnesota United Reserves (Woodbury, MN) and the Quad City Eagles (Moline, IL). FC Bordo will play their home matches at St.Louis University High School.

St. Charles, MO – Their Major Indoor Soccer League season is nearly complete, but the St. Louis Ambush aren’t finished playing yet. The St. Louis Ambush (4-11) host the defending champion Baltimore Blast (11-3) Thursday evening, February 6 at 7:35 p.m. at the Family Arena.
The Blast are currently in second place in the Major Indoor Soccer League standings, just one-half game behind the Milwaukee Wave. Thursday’s contest is the second of two battles between the Ambush and Blast this season and is Baltimore’s only visit to the Family Arena. The Saint Louis Ambush will look to put a tough loss behind them and get back on the winning track today. The Ambush will take on the Pennsylvania Roar (0-11) today at 3:00 pm local time at the Santander Arena. The (4-7) Ambush lost on Friday January 17th by the score of 14-2 away to the Baltimore Blast (8-2) to open a four game road trip to end the month. The only goal of the match for the visitors came from Brandon Manzonelli, a newly signed forward for the Ambush in the 2nd quarter of Friday’s contest. The Saint Louis Ambush head into the half-way mark of their inaugural MISL season with an record of (4-6) and find themselves 2 ½ games out of the final playoff spot behind the Missouri Comets with an game in hand. The Ambush have their most difficult road-trip of the season beginning tonight with an matchup with the Baltimore Blast (7-2), who currently sit in second place at an game behind the Milwaukee Wave. This will be the first matchup of two on the season between the two clubs and the first of three matchups against current playoff teams sandwiched around a matchup with the last place Pennsylvania Roar.
The Ambush have been off for 13 days since their 14-12 victory over the Rochester Lancers at the Family Arena on an game winning goal by Kory Dowell with less than an minute remaining in the match. The match will take place at the Baltimore Arena at 6:35pm local time and will be available for viewing on the Major League Indoor Soccer (MISL) YouTube channel and the Saint Louis Ambush You Tube channel. The Ambush defeated the Rochester Lancers 14-12 on a three point goal from Ambush forward Kory Dowell with less than a minute remaining in the match at the Family Arena in front of 4,398 fans. The win moves the Ambush’s record to (4-6) overall and (3-3) at home this season. The win also splits the season series with both teams winning on their respective home floors. Continue reading

The Saint Louis Ambush has attempted to put together a consistent stretch of soccer but every time a positive step is made, two are put forth in the opposite direction. Five days after a thrilling 14-12 overtime victory against the Syracuse Silver Knights, the Ambush fell 13-11 to the Milwaukee Wave on Friday January 3rd in front of 5,016 fans at the Family Arena. The Ambush attack was keyed by two goals from forward Matt Kimball and a goal apiece from Chad Vandegriffe, Kory Dowell and Michael Roach. Ambush keeper Jeff Richey did all he could to give the Ambush a chance to win the game, making 25 saves in the contest. The Wave was led by their star player, Pablo who scored a hat-trick for a total of seven points on only 5 attempts on goal. The Saint Louis Ambush might have just had the most positive result to their inaugural season on Sunday afternoon and sent a message to the entire league. They are for real and can play with anyone on any field on any day. The Ambush defeated the Syracuse Silver Knights 14-12 in overtime to move their record to 3-5 on the year and move to 2-2 at home at the Family Arena. St. Charles, MO – The St. Louis Ambush (3-5), presented by Simmons First National Bank, kick off the new year with back-to-back home games this weekend at the Family Arena. On Friday night, January 3, the Rochester Lancers (3-6) pay their first visit ever to the Family Arena when the two teams clash at 7:35 p.m. Friday’s game is the second of two meetings between St. Louis and Rochester during the 2013-14 regular season.
